You can work directly on projects such as multi-player games or social-networking applications while enjoying the benefits of a smaller, closely knit work environment; developers have the opportunity to play a larger role in the product cycle beyond just writing code all day. You can have more control and involvement in the products, contribute ideas and improve concepts. You will also have a deeper level of involved in the company, taking part in decisions such as what products to develop next and how to go about developing them.
